Greetings!

Welcome to the Political Independent Voice.

The intention of this blog is to bring to you the political actions of the day; plays, blunders, surprises and most importantly, the real deal, the blog will sort out fact from hyperbole. The blog will cover local politics such as how Jefferson County legislators will act on the jail after inmate population is down and it did not resonate with the public in their last election cycle and then the special election in 48th Senate district, as well as state politics such as our Governor who promised the world on "day one" and instead delivered like a meteor and we will throw in a bit of national politics such as who drove Hillary Clinton's bus over the cliff and no one told her yet.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride

It is good to see another blog dealing with NNY Politics. Ted Ford and his blog has gotten to the point where it reads like the same 15 people posting all the time.

The big political question in the future is who will replace Jim Wright, Wil Barclay or Darrel Aubertine.

To start the discussion, I have several questions that I would love to know where they stand.

Gov. Spitzer has had a terrible first year highlighted by Troopergate and Drivers licenses for Illegal immigrants. The later being of major concern to the majority of New Yorkers.

Where do the candidate stand on the issue? Mr. Barclay has been opposed from the beginning, but I have never heard any definitive answer from Mr. Aubertine.

Assemblyman Aubertine If you are elected, will you support drivers licenses for illegal aliens? This is a simple yes or no answer? Give us one please!

A second question has to do with power. I know in the past that Mr. Aubertine has supported phasing out and eventually closing all Nuclear power plants. Is that you position still Mr. Aubertine, and what are the impacts? There are a lot of hard working middle class residents of this senate district that rely on these plants for their livelyhood, not to mention the spin off to other businesses in Oswego County. What is each candidates position?

These are just a couple of the many questions that I hope we can have both candidates address during the campaign.

Good Luck and thanks/
