The response is regarding the 11 Democrats who joined the Republicans in voting NO on the plan. 9 of the 11 are in districts carried by John McCain according to the Politico article. But this comment by Pelosi spokesperson Brendan Daly is priceless, "Many of the districts are more conservative, and they campaigned on fiscal responsibility, and we understand that.”
That is their own admission the stimulus package is fiscally irresponsible.

Where did you get that wacky interpretation, of Rep. Pelosi?
iv, why not make a serious post, like how Sen Mitch McConnell is actual proposing using the Herbert Hoover playbook for an economic recovery, with protectionism, low interest loans to states and a few other total failed pieces of policy.
The question I have to ask is this.
The Republicans in Congress really do not want America to have a depression, right?
Or has the order been given to burn Paris and will General Dietrich von Cholitz do it?
As George Santayana said, “Those who refuse to learn from history are condemned to repeat it.”
Herbert Hoover? C'mon, let's stay within the past half century when regurgitating preconceived notions.
Pelosi isn't a good representative for the Dems. The only reason she is there is time on the job. They would have done much better to pick a more reasonable individual who more americans could identify with. She's as partisan as they come.
It's a sinking feeling, watching that package sink into the mud the more people learn about it. We need something done, and they first thing O gives us is a pay off bill for special interest groups who financed donkey campaigns. Bad times ahead.
10:50 Exactly. If one didn't know any better, one might suspect that the Great One is JUST ANOTHER POLITICIAN. God help us.
