The Democrats are in trouble in that district with the selection of Scott Murphy and more tax problems on their hands, so the Governor has decided to stall the process and give them more time to regroup or possibly even rethink their selection.
The NRC is all in, but the DNC is hesitant at this point. Newly minted RNC Chair Michael Steele was in Albany to prod the Governor into setting a date for the special election.

What a deal...

Oh, I don't know, Dan. The question, now that it looks like we have a deal on the zillion dollar pay off stimulus bill, is what comes next. This won't work, as it won't stimulate anybody and won't encourage anybody to start spending. When this becomes obvious to all, can we borrow another $800 billion and do it again? Assuming the next bill is equally corrupt, it won't work either. Then, can we do it a third time? In other words, what is Obama's credit limit. That is the only question that matters.
Would that be newly minted RNC chair that is under investigation by the FBI for fraud?
