Senator Darrel Aubertine's hometown is split badly on the wind issue and they are airing the frustrations.
The Wind Power Ethics Group took a swing at our Senator with this ad that appeared in the Watertown Daily Times over the weekend. Senator Darrel Aubertine leads the list of officials that the Ethics Group wants investigated.

For once this is someone other than some GOP operation calling Senator Aubertine out!

Why is Aubertine's secret dealings with the wind companies, to line his own pocket, any different than the insider deals the big energy companies cut with elected officials in Franklin County? Those deals were investigated by the AG and the local DA.
AG Cuomo even announced settlement deals with the companies and a new "wind code of ethics" that Darrel, BP and Acconia have not yet signed.
Is someone covering for Darrel, or is this ad a sign that another wind-shoe (windsock?) is about to drop on our State Senator?
I'm sure Darrel didn't do it. He doesn't do anything wrong, remember?
It's amazing that Darrel has been allowed to get away with his obvious wind conflict.
Personally, I think the "aw, shucks" act is wearing thin.
The members of the Cape Vincent Town board are all Republican. The County legislators are all Republican.
Darrel did nothing more than sign a contract to have a windmill on his farm. He took advantage of the corrupt and greedy ways of the republicans. Well, one exception. The supervisor is republican, too except he changed parties to get elected because the republican threw him out because he started to divulge dealings and was cooperating with environmental stuff. But then the rich people who are fighting it like the WDT owners who don't want to see them from their fancy places formed this ethics committee which is not so ethical to put it down. They are secret with no name like you. But then the county legislators went along because they want in the cash. Except on guy who does not give a crap about anything except getting Darrell.
Darrel stole my shoe.
people in this country are fed up with politicians selling us out for their own financial gain its not just darrel in this town issue its also the others its sad taxpayers have to spend their own money on ads like this to protect themselves from the ones they HIRED to do the same .this is why americans DONT trust their goverment anymore
Anonymous 4:49 Three out of four of the members of the town board are Democrats. Marty Mason is the only Republican. Not that it makes any difference, the conflicts are all still there.
Finally IV you admit u are nothing but a GOP operation.
4:53 What are you talking about? No one "admitted" anything. Get off your party line crap. The problem here is secret dealing. I don't care what party anyone is in. Is partisan politics all you know? Are you that simple?
Well buddy, feel happy. You have lots of company.
Wow - talk about breaking wind in public and trying to hide the smell?
Ouch ...
It's time to hire is sister again to cover this up.
Darrel should have accepted the gov's offer to head the NYPA. Then he wouldn't be in this mess.
Not that Cuomo will do anything about it.
