Unions Attack

The Unions are attacking the Governor with scare tactic ads that put doom and gloom on the forefront and the sucker punch - the ad uses a blind man. The ad by the union which looks to continue to pick pocket New York Taxpayers mocks the Governor's disability which he sufficiently overcomes in order to serve.

It would be interesting to know if the rank and file members of this union would be in favor of such tactics. In my union, it doesn't much matter what the rank and file think.

Nor does it in any Union.

Unions are big business. They are only doing what any business would do. Fighting for their revenue stream.

This country will be better served when we remove the obstacles to workers unionizing. One need look no further than the auto industry to see the value that unions have provided this country.

Power to the people. Buy Union!

8:54 So you admit that union leadership doesn't listen or respond to membership? Then you puke up "power to the people", and call for more unions. I thought union members WERE people.

Rarely can people contradict themselves so quickly.

Great thinking.

The Unions are the reason this country is successful and the standard of living is higher than anywhere else. The Unions have made this country what it is today.

I sense that you just don't understand the "business" of the Unions. More often than not, the membership is not intelligent enough to understand what they really want and need.

With the help of our new President, our efforts to organize will be met with tremendous success over the coming years. Think of the revenue stream that will open up.

Union made. Union Proud.

Much of what you say is true. The problem is unions today are used to protect under achieving "professionals" and other public employees. The only place unions exist is in false economies, that is, the public sector. The damage they cause is immeasurable. You remember, for the children. And in manufacturing, they are, and will be, responsible for the death of the american automobile. Unless they become a welfare client of the feds, GM and the boys are gone in a few years, or less.

But I don't disagree with what you are saying. Too bad unions now exist mostly to protect themselves. On my check, they are just another forced payment.
