R.I.P.

"Pro football gave me a good perspective," he was quoted as saying. "When I entered the political arena, I had already been booed, cheered, cut, sold, traded, and hung in effigy."

Jack Kemp was a typical supply-side Reganish conservative. But to his great credit his personality didn't fit at all with the hatemouthed meanhearts of this decade. He was a 'big tent' kinda guy. The kind that always presents a respectful political argument. You might very well disagree with Congressman Kemp but never find him dissagreeable. He'll be missed.

Yup, typical supply-side conservative. Typically right.

Too intelligent for today's fashionable intellectuals.

Great guy. Great leader. Great mind. Truly a loss to our state and nation.
