Redemption?

You can draw your own conclusions to this data on whether Spitzer is redeemed or not. 41% say he is more qualified to lead New York State than David Paterson. You can clearly see why Spitzer is musing about a comeback, voters of New York State have a high tolerance for antics.

I'd vote for the Spit man no matter what. Look, we're going to have a Donkey in there, 'cause we're a state full of stupid people. No matter how badly we're taking it up the.. uh taking it, we are going to elect a Donkey. Ya might as well have an entertainment value going for the taxes you pays. Spitz will bring a ho a month by the cameras, and the noooozpapers will print photos, and we can at least get SOMETHING for being the most overtaxed, thug controlled state in the nation. And your kids can be brought up the right way by seeing this. Then, after they graduate from the golden government schools, they can follow Spitz from North Carolina or whatever state they had to move to.

Forget the polls and pundits and hope that people ask themselves? "Why should I vote for a criminal - yes, a criminal?"

He may have skated the law and not gone to jail (for things he prosecuted others for), and resigned (as well he should have), but the SOB still broke the law, period.

it's fun to be righteous when you are on the sidelines. Morality and politics haven't been a pair since Columbus got here. So get off the high mighty and scurry on along. Politics is a dirty business, not for the thin-skinned, definitely for those with balls and some charisma. If Spitz has "it" who cares about the hookers? There are so many hookers in NYC you Jeff County fellers wouldn't know what to do.

Ok Dan, gotta take you to task a little bit. If Spitzer broke the law, as you state, and we're going to hold him accountable, as I think you are implying, then how come you members of your party won't take the same hard look at Pedro Espada? It appears to a lot of folks, especially from his district, that he also broke the law several times.

Dan, why aren't you calling for Darrel Aubertine and the other members of the NYS Senate Majority investigate this crook who gets paid by our tax dollars...

Consistency Dan...consistency.

Anon 8:22 - I was probably the first person here at IVY's trough calling for Espada to step down or be tossed out on his ear... you need to find out the facts before you race off half-cocked attacking me.

Espada needs to go - about three months ago.

I would know what to do I like hookers. It's like shopping in a candy store.I just can't figure out how to get the taxpayers to pay for them like spitter did.Maybe I will send a letter to the joker and see if he will send me a stimulus check for education or maybe to exercise the equipment.

Exactly 8:17, don't let morality get in the way of a sound, political decision. Bring on the criminal. Bring on the ho's. Let's have fun. Party is all that matters and Spitz is the right party. Srewin' our kids is dirty business and yous have to have people in there who have no problems doin' it. Save on lubricant, vote Donkey.

whose definition of morality? the banks wailed about bailouts, only to refuse to release info about how the funds were distributed: we have the Bush/Cheney/Gonzales renditions: the NY senate ethics committee can't agree on anything, we have had local moral issues, and you single out Spitzer. I'm not saying that whoring around is moral, I am saying that if Spitzer is otherwise a good governor who can do the job, what's a hooker to me? How did he get busted anyway?

Dan, you didn't quite answer my question...perhaps you have stated that you want Espada gone, but what else have you done? Have you as a Democrat threatened to primary Darrel Aubertine as long as he stands with Pedro? Have you called Aubertine out publicly for voting 100% of the time with Espanda?

Just because you state you oppose him isn't enough you have to build a movement or else you're just pissing in the wind. Thought maybe after you got dumped for a Indy for NY-23 you might have learned that.

Who the hell said he was a good Governor?? Other than bluster and bullying and banging hookers, what exactly did he accomplish?? I can't put my finger on anything significant, can any of you boot-licking Democrat phonies?

Let's be honest: he's an egotistical, arrogant meglomaniac who never held a real job. Daddy gave him everything on a silver platter and he f-ed it up.

The guy wasn't a leader, nor a statesmen, nor even a very effective Attorney General. He was a two-bit bully with a badge....

I'm WITH ya, 6:49. I'm on your side. Danny's right. No gripes here. Keep the same party in power that has run NY for years. Spitz, Silver, Schumer, even import a babe like Hil when it feels good. Donkeys forever. The state has been good to me. I see no reason to change anything. Folks, stay stupid. Vote stupid.

Sorry to pull a Wiley on you, but I have to add one more thing. It's not the ho's the excites me the most, it's the way the Spitz threatened businessmen who didn't jump when he told them to. Now that really made him a great Gov. My kinda a guy he be. It's not enough to be a Donkey in a state of Donkey juice swallowers, you have to be man enough not only to use tax payer bucks for ho's but also a guy who knows when to call up guys, issue threats and tell 'em when to get in line or they be a ruined. That's my kinda leadership. Yeah man, bring him back. He was a great leader for the Empire State.

Anonymous 8:44 - I didn't get dumped for an INDY - every DEM loyalist who ever ran for office got dumped for the INDY.

But, even with this one of your weakest insults to date, you still still fall short. But, keep it up -- you may yet succeed with a indecent, insulting post.

DF you sure got a thin skin for a Tough Guy. The Boys in Washington DC would turn you into chopped liver inside of a week.

Danny M. Francis (Eyepublius) said...

9:55 - thin skinned — me? LOL.

Does 20-years of "Leatherneck" duty ring a bell with you?

You have never served or worked with me anywhere in the world at anytime over the past 40 years while I served the public in uniform and out honorably on tough issues of national defense all over the world, have you?

I hardly think so ... You don't know me - so stop pretending you do.

Thin skinned? Do tell - not one bit; but I will defend myself whenever necessary and with Anonymous posters like you, that's a full time job - but, I won't duck.

So, if you think I'm being thin skinned, then you are entitled to that opinion and you are entitled to be wrong in that opinion, but you are entitled to be not wrong with the facts.

In defense of Dan, this time, he has consistantly called for Espada's head. And he did so early on. That's what makes Dan so hard to read lately. Sometimes he's a party liners, but other times he's not. This time he wasn't. Give him credit when credit is due.

One atta boy to Dan.
