Jay - Pay Close Attention

Jay Matteson, Jefferson County Ag Coordinator, who generally does a good job but it is possible that he exist to sit around and pepper people with emails throughout day, just "flashed" everyone with this announcement.

Hey Jay, if you are paying close attention to New York State politics you might be a bit premature on this one, just like Senate Minority Leader Malcolm Smith (who probably can't even spell Agriculture) was when he announced Darrel as chairman.

Now there is a coordinator who should be looked into and his job questioned.
What has he done for Jefferson County?

Does he bring any grant money into the county?
Does he do anything?

What is his county budget?

Does he have goals?

Has he accomplished anything in 6 years?

Wow, making it as personal as possible now aren't you, questioning whether Malcolm can spell agriculture.

You're a bigger D__k than I ever thought. Is your intended connotation that "Democrats are dumb," "he's from New York City," "Black people don't speak proper English," or just a simple "He's dumb"?

Any way you slice it, your attack is ad hominem and pointless.

Anonymous II, I think the point is that Malcom Smith doesn't understand farming or agriculture. Everything isn't about race (although the Dems try to wave that bloody shirt to make it that way) The fact is smith is from NYC and to me its a fair jab at our proposed NYS leadership "Team" who all live a few blocks from one another (Gov-Smith-Silver)

tsk tsk tsk, you need to take a deep breath relax and decompress these conspiracy theories running through your mind.

It is not making it personal, just pointing out the fact that Mr. Malcolm "NYC" Smith has probably never seen a cow.

Ya got me confused. First we are talking local stuff, then we switch to an emotional thing about Smith in Albany. Please, someone relax and explain. I would like to know what you're talking about.

If you're talking about Jay Matteson, I like that guy. He's got a good radio thing going and I like it. He seems like a very nice guy and he advocates strongly for area farmers.

Anonymous 9:45 do you like his radio show to the tune of $165,000 a year?????? That is his budget for him and one part time person.

So Jay( or Political IV) , for $165,000 a year of county money what do you do for us???

". . . you need to take a deep breath relax and decompress. . ."

I think it is P IV that needs to decompress. It is difficult to tell from your post: is it Matteson that you are taking a swipe at? (Clearly, you are.) or is it Smith? (Absolutely.) Or Aubertine? (Most likely.)

Of all the Senate Committees, why does Smith have to be an expert in any one of them, to make an appointment for Chairmanship? Was BRUNO an F'ing expert in all matters that were covered by a Senate Committee? Of course not.

Let's GROW UP !

Wow, I didn't realize he made that much. No wonder he like apples and maple syrup.

He does have to get up early in the morning.

They should just put it under an educational program. No one would notice, or care, how much his budget is. Call it "for children farmers."

You're right there is a need to question the $165,000.00 if we make an issue about $65,000.00 for an ATV coordinator (which we should) how about questioning entities like JCIDA, WLDC, all at the taxpayers trough.

No, it's an obvious thing here. We have an ATV thing that was crooked and an ag advocate that is a political appointee that has too much money being shoveled into his kitty. It's not the end of the world. It's more like business as usual.

Nothing personal.
