McHugh confirmed -- it's about time. CONTRATS to John.

Now if only we could get this damn special election over ... and then back to "normalcy" right?

LOL

McHugh is the Secretary of the Army...wow. Congrats John.

As far as candidates to run against Darrel...I would vote for anyone...except Darrel.

Doheny is without a doubt back on Wall Street...he came, he saw and he said no thanks.

I believe the Republican party said "no thanks." He's sorta like Dan, riding in to save us all, except that he leaves afterward. LOLOLOL!!!!

As much as we want someone else I don't see any candiates coming to the surface against Aubertine, Hopefully one or more will surface in the assembly races.

The ACORN folks that the state dems hire and bus upstate to campaign for their candidate won't have as big a smile on their faces after today's house vote.

liberal voting record for dede? According to project vote smart
http://www.votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=22881
dede has opposed the assembly's liberal agenda by voting against:

the farm labor law
the state budget
micrsostamping
required renewal of pistol permits
assault weapons definition
child proof firearms
repeal of the rockefeller drug laws
rent control
the accounting tricks used to mask the state's fiscal problems earlier this year.

Dede also voted against the mta bailout http://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/?ad=122&sh=story&story=31926.

what about scott 2:1 gray? david pension credits renzi? In truth we do need change; having nyc democrats in control does not help this region.
there's a pretty good chance barclay would win a rematch. Or the republicans could up with someone new (though hopefully someone who has never worked on wall street).

I don't think Will(you can't fish in my river) is the answer either, some of the things Dede voted against I disagree with also.

After the anniversary of the Lehman Brothers debacle, we have discovered 2 things about both parties:

1. Both have supported socialized risk and privatized gain.

2. Both continue to ignore that we, as a country, simply can not afford ourselves.

The banking institutions have grown in the past year.

The banking institutions have access to cheaper credit from the federal government.

Both political parties have been in power and contributed to this outcome, as trillion can not be found.

The word of the day is: Quadrillion.

I asked Jeff Graham and his listeners on his noon time talk show today what was the most important single word we should be using towards candidates for office, or from those already in office.

I share that word here with you for your thoughts:

NY 23 Race

Dan, when it comes to Republicans, the only word we can use is, RACIST.

Right?

What word could be more important than that?

The Great One's Queen sez women are "crushed" by our system of health care. Claims they have to do it all. Weeeell.

I'd say my observation is that women get much better health care than men. Somehow, women find a way to pay for it, because they go to the Doc's a lot more often than we do. Probably one of the reasons they live longer than men do. Because of Planned Parenthood type programs, and these have been around a long time, women I know always had access that men didn't have. That's ok, that's a decision we made, but don't lie and say it isn't so. And don't tell me PP treats men too. They do, in theory, but not much in practice. That pablum exists mostly for their funding guidelines.

First, watch the FOX coverage and listen to the "No" answers by the ACRON video crew / actors, then watch the ACORN response with Police report ...

An easy call: Fox is flat out wrong...

Well Dan, Fox News hates black people. That's been clear to all fair minded Americans for a long, long time. Hasn't it? Racist networks should not be allowed to exist.

I'm so glad you're here to keep a watch on that Fox News for us. They are such a terrible group of people. You're much better off getting your news from the biggies. They knew enough to ignore the ACORN story, as it should be. Right Dannie?

Dan gets his news from the huffington post.So really he is no more open minded than those of us that watch fox. They are racist too.

Wonder if Dede "voted" for or against the accounting tricks her brother used.????

After all that supposed fightin' you supposedly did Dan, and now it sounds like you want just one preapproved state run media organization with the right to report newz. Competition is good, Dan. But you would have to get over your need to have everything told with your slant and bias. And you would have to get over calling those who oppose you racists. At your age, such adjustments are not likely possible.
