A Political Web We Weave

The Great One has stepped into New York politics with both feet by telling Paterson to be gone!

A run for reelection by Paterson would not be the first time he did just the opposite of what the Great One wanted, Paterson antagonized the administration by picking Gillibrand instead of Kennedy for Senator. Before too long Obama will find himself in the tangled web of politics by race, New York City style and find a mess just like the New York State Senate found.

I hope this story is ONLY a trial balloon... and not factual. If true, then my comments at the NY Daily News apply:

"This story got my blood boiling, and I have a couple of comments:

(1) I don't care what President Obama “wants or does not want” in this case. The W/H supposedly chased away all DEMS to avoid a primary against Sen. Gillibrand and that stinks, too.

(2) I hope Gov. Dave seeks election for this seat that he was appointed to after that nasty scandal. He has done pretty good — vis-à-vis the nitwits in the Senate and Assembly.

(3) I'm with the Gov, and I will support him all I can.

(4) I'm against Mr. Obama or anyone else in the W/H who claims the high road about their definition of “representative democracy” as they travel the low road (if this story is true).

I'm a lifelong DEM, and if I had the money, I'd oppose Gillibrand. — Dan Francis (Watertown)

From the Guv ... good for him:

Gov. David A. Paterson defiantly vowed to run for election next year despite the White House‘s urging that he withdraw from the New York governor’s race.

Details Here

If he runs, he has my support -- if he loses, so be it; if he wins, good for him.

The race should be a good one anyway... primaries all around, right? LOL

In many ways, Dannie is right on this one. The Gov ticked off a lot of the silver spoon crowd when he had the audacity to even mention that their golden free ride couldn't last forever. The teachers, state employees, criminals and bums aren't allowed to vote for anyone but a Donkey, but even for them, this guy talked too much. And he didn't help himself when he added to his staff like he did. NY's voters will puke up Cuomo next time. And that will buy another couple years of sticking our head in the sand and pretending we can avoid the coming trainwreck. So I believe The Gov is toast. But that could also be my racism peeking through, eh Dan? I can't support a BLACK guy. Not being a Conservative/GOP/FOX NEWS listener and all. Go with the Italian. Dan, you do have to tell us the priority though. What's most important? Race, whether they slash up their girlfriend's face, whether they pays taxes, whether they do prostitutes, gayness, straightness, baldness, religion, jeeesh, there are just so many important areas to consider. What's a party line thinker to do? Dan? You there, Dan?

I like mechanical clocks too. They are getting hard to own though. No one knows how to fix them or even clean or adjust 'em.

Nobody called YOU a racist. It was YOU who called others racist. But you know that.

Just wanted to keep things straight.

I'm here for ya.
