YOU LIE!

We've heard that line before. But, for sure in this case it is fact, Hoffman's creditability is now in serious question, Watertown Daily Times reporter, Jude Seymour, has tripped up another politician with Hoffman contradicting his own words.

Hoffman in his own words committed to supporting Dede, not once, but twice.
  1. Hoffman agreed to support whomever was the choice of the 11 county GOP chairman, everyone who attended the regional meetings was aware of his commitment.
  2. Hoffman then pledged his support for Dede in writing via email two days after Dede was selected. His email reads: "Hi Dede, Congratulations and the best of luck in your candidacy. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Doug."
Dede's positions were well known to anyone who sat through any one of the regional meetings and their was also plenty of media on her positions. Any metamorphosis on his position only demonstrates his own lack of comprehension of the events.

He or his spokesman can say whatever he wants to weasel out of his own words, but the fact remains in the infamous words of Joe Wilson - "YOU LIE!"

Owens #2 Ad

Still no mention of being a DEM... why not? 'cause he ain't one yet...

And, in this clip, it looks like he is not wearing a seatbelt.

I call on Sen. Schumer to give the money back to the Wall Street contributors or if he does not, to resign from office.

The story:

This from Schumer's spokesman Brian Fallon:

Fallon says his boss "calls the shots the way he sees them" -- regardless of who's giving him money. "The financial services industry is a vital part of New York's economy, but he doesn't hesitate to go after the institutions when they are wrong, such as with credit cards, corporate governance and overdraft fees," Fallon said.

This is so much BS that I can hardly contain myself. BTW: Gillibrand got nearly $900,000 from Wall Street, and need I remaind anyone: Wall Street got plenty of tax payer's money.

I make it official - give back the money or resign:

Schumer and Gillibrand on the Take???

Or, is it just "politics as usual?"

Dan, I just thought of something. Not only should we dismiss Owens because he's not, in your eyes, a REAL Democrat, which is a terrible, terrible thing. But if he ain't a Democrat, then he's got to be a RACIST. So either way, we have to hate him. Thanks for pointing out two very important things that matter so much to all thinking persons everywhere.

And get off my buddy Schmuck. He's a real Dem. How can any of us be against him? What do you care where he gets his money from? I'm just trying to memorize the world according to Dannie. You send such mixed signals.

Danny M. Francis (Eyepublius) said...

7:52 -- My signals as you say, are "not mixed" by any standard, except perhaps they may not be the signals you like to hear or signals you would use. But, hey are my signals nevertheless.

I believe they are strong value-based and principled signals that have a simple clear message: -- I am not a party hack except when I choose to be one -- and, not when others want me to be one.

Danny M. Francis (Eyepublius) said...

7:52 - I got carried away and forgot my main point.

FACT: Owens is not a registered DEM in a DEM race where a DEM should have been chosen to carry that banner.

He cannot legally become a DEM until after this election cycle is over. That's the law.

I know you do not like facts; they get in the way of your hype, but you'll just have to deal with it like you deal with me ... aggressively and scatter-brained.

All of this complaining about Doug Hoffman rings like playground tattletales in my ears.

"Boo hoo hoo! Doug said he would help Dede and now he's being a poopiehead!"

Get over it, it's politics!

Whether it's sour grapes, fear, or just disappointment that the Conservative Party is taking the GOP to task, that's really the only role the minor parties have in New York.

The NY-23 Republicans made an epic mistake selecting Dede for the election. She might be able to win, but she's the worst person for the job.

NY-23 needs principled, conservative values and real world leadership. Hoffman certainly isn't the best man for the job, but he's better than Scozzafava and Owens.

So Dan's not a party hack unless he decided to become a party hack. Well Dan. Look at yourself in the mirror. You've obviously decided a while back that have no choice but to be a party hack, ie Heneshee. It's ok, Dannie, but hold back on the claims of balance in your verbage. You're looking for a hee haw and a stupid ears. That's all you're about. That and a couple cliches. Fox News, racism, And please don't bring up values, ever again. Not you, Mr Donkey.

9:59, doug hoffman a conservative? In a ncpr interview he couldn't name one major federal program he wanted to cut or eliminate. http://www.northcountrypublicradio.org/news/story/14262/with-anti-tax-message-hoffman-courts-republican-voters

Anonymous said...

1:47 That's because he is not a career politition. He has not been paid off by companies that benefit from certain gov programs and cut the ones that don't payup, yet. Which is why I still say he is perfect for the job out of our choices.Who knows maybe he will stick to his guns and not take the payoffs? Haha would'nt be much of a politition would he? Non the less I've been pushing for him and I have convinced a good number of people to his side even though they don't know him.But they are not happy with the present tax structure and financial state of the State. Dede needs a diff job!

If anything, the Marine Corps molded me that way... (yes, a full 20 years)... so get over that, too, Anon.

I'm the wacko.
How did I get behind by so much?
This is very upsetting.
It wasn't me who forgot my point.
I didn't even know what my point was in the first place.

My job is to keep Dan on task, and remind him of the big three things in his life.

All who disagree are racist.
Fox News threatens Dan's manhood.
We can only consider REAL Dem's.

Them are the three. All I can do is hold on. I'm doin' my best. The game ain't over yet.

Danny M. Francis (Eyepublius) said...

My position for a certain Anonymous 9:38 ... is to show you that I am not a party hack or DEM lackey.

I ask Schumer to step down

He won't and this won't go far, but I feel good about my view nevertheless.

gee dan your links are a little old. That was a year ago so much has happened since then. You need to watch the news.

Anonymous said...

Dannie, that's the point. Despite so much crud coming out about ACORN, we see no real investigations underway about their dealings. And if you and your ilk had their way, and media outlet, especially the dreaded Fox News, would be attacked as racist if they did so.

On to another matter. Before Rachel Maddow tells you what to think, please let us know. Regarding the Olympics. Did the Great One lose out because of A)racism, B)lingering hatred caused by GWBush, or C)Fox News?

Your thought patterns allow for limited possibilities.
