Hoffman Rally

The crowd was large and the excited - there was clear evidence that this is a grass roots campaign. The official attendance count provided by the fire department was 450, that outnumbered the attendance at the Biden event by some 120 people.

The description of the two events is that the crowd at the fairgrounds tonight was 4 times more excited than the early days event.

Here is video on Fred Thompson stumping for Doug Hoffman. (Apologies the audio went quiet for a bit)

The Dems have the superior ground game GOTV..that will make the difference in the end! Owens will win.

Press is not picking up on this event as much as Biden event.

Big story only 200 show up to see VP

Why is Bill Owens running against Rush Limbaugh all of a sudden? Is it because he knows he can't go toe to toe against Hoffman? Clever!

Democrat's always go negative and paint it as positive. Run against Newt, run against Bush. Remember Darrreell and I am one of you which was negative against the rich Barclay kid.

Well, Owens might win. But a superior ground game? Boy, we are full of ourselves.

I'll give Owens one thing, he has more signs on public property than Hoffman. He even had them on the grounds of the Jeff County Welfare office on Arsenal Street this afternoon. But I guess that makes sense. That's his base.

Would the cost of flying Air Force 2 and the security detail be covered by Owens' campaign funds, or would that be at the expense of the taxpayers?

I wish I had taken the opportunity to go to Watertown to see the VP. I hope his presence was enough to push Owens over the edge. With so many people in NNY of the gov't dole, we can't afford to have a guy like Hoffman who will try to gut the welfare programs under the guise of fiscal responsibility.

Really...a whole 150 more? Wow...you all must be really impressed. I wonder who paid for Hoffman's fancy background at the rally? Was is Glenn Beck or Fred Thompson because I can guarantee you he didn't raise that kind of money from the North Country.

Oh, yeah...Hoffman really "gets" us here in the North Country.....

Nice to see the Jeff. Co. legislators "sucking" up to Hoffman now they realize he's going to win.
