WAPO

The story of Judas is written in the Washington Post and how Judas was used by the Democrats to get an election win, but she naively thinks they were sincere.  Read it - here

Funny how right up to a week before the election, she was your choice.

Nice of you that as soon as your candidate showed some weakness, you not only turn your back on her and urge people to vote for Hoffman on Republican ideology alone, but you also call her a Judas and insinuate that she is crybaby calling out Hoffman for what his campaign did to her.

I think most of you Republicans should be ashamed of how you all turned your back on her and fed her to the wolves.

Hey little PeePee

You have that backwards, we were with her until she quit and dumped us. We never left for Hoffman until she quit, then we moved to the remaining contender who ideologically was closer to us.

But nice try peepee to turn the tables around.

There is nothing worse on the planet than a herd of wild elephants on a rant -- there is not way to stop them -- well one way, but I'm not gonna mention that in print.

We witnessing it "right" here laa laa land "right" now, and it is "wrong."

My last two cents:

These attacks on Dede are nasty and uncalled for with the tone we are seeing and hearing over and over. People flee communist countries, or countries headed up by dictators and/or junta Generals for political reasons and vendettas ...

Political persecution is a huge thing and now we have it up close and very, very personal right here, don't we?

Dede: I am ready to accept annointment to the next level of political royalty. I will go to Washington and cast politically correct votes that change nothing of substance.

Voters: Wait a minute. This is the same politician who went to Albany and gave us spending as usual. She and the Siver types fit right in together. I'm kinda broke. I wish we had another choice. But gee, I guess our GOP godfathers know what's best. Guess we'll have to...

Hoffman: I know I said I'd stay out of it, but, well, I'd like to run. I don't like bidness as usual, but I don't know...

Owens: Tax cuts for the rich. Fox News. Fairness. Milk money.

Dede: I'm dying. Watcha go and throw that bucket of water on me for. Vile little man who can't speak. I'm cryyying, I'm cryyying.

Owens: Witch Dede, I mean Dede, are you like OK? I mean like, I hope you're OK. We're gonna be OK, I think. Like.

Nancie: Owens, you little worm. Get back over here and tend to your duties.

Chorus: Bill Clinton, Andy Cuomo, Guv Patterson, Junie O'Neil, Fernando Lamas, Dan Francis, Ted Ford, and The Great One (in unison)

Sing: We Represent..The Lollipop Guild, the Lollipop Guild..The Lollipop Guild..aaaaaaand we're here to welcome you toooooooooo
Munchkin Laaaaaand.

Dede: But I don't knoooww if I want to go to Munchkin Land. And all this crying has messed up my mascara. And bahawawaawaaawawaa. (Royalties due to Bahawa Man will be forwarded in a timely manner.)

Scene ends with Dede hiding behind a big apple tree that appears to be grabbing at her with its branches. She seems to like it.

YOU LAUGH, BUT IT'S JUST AS GOOD AS NETWORK TV!

Iv, Hoffman was closer to you ideologically than Hoffman? Does that include raising taxes and spending as a member of the jefferson county board of legislators?

Danny M. Francis (Eyepublius) said...

I ask: Other than removing a party member from a party’s insider apparatus position (appointed within the party to a job), should a political party be able to demand that a registered member of that party leave, get out, or faced being “kicked out?”

For a party not to support a candidate or potential candidate is perfectly normal and well within the bound of common sense, but trying to get a duly-registered member leave the party under any circumstances that does not border on the criminal is a bit too much, IMHO.

That would be as un-American as one could get – political persecution is for third rate nations – not us.

Anonymous said...

Oh, get over yourself, Dannie.

I got one word for you and your sermon of the moment about political persecution.

Palin.

And Dannie, in so many ways, we are a third rate nation. And if we keep adding to the debt as we have been, we will be lucky if we hang on to third rate status.

"Political IV said ... We never left for Hoffman until she quit, then we moved to the remaining contender who ideologically was closer to us"....
Who is 'we' and 'us'. The disclaimer states this blog is not affiliated with any political party. Kind of like Fox News being 'fair and balanced'!

Uoooo, Fox News, Fox News, Dannie's in the bushes, Fair and Balanced she be. Fox News.

Nevermore.

I think us Republicans and Independents should be damn proud of what we did to Dede. We like our districts to be properly represented too, just like you dems. Conservative district = Conservative Representation.

Every news outlet from here to Kingdom Come will use Dede as the whip against the GOP (anti-this/that, yada yada, yap yap, etc.) until after the next elecion.

She is the new poster "girl" -- get used to it.

Yes sir, I am very proud.Best estimate is the state will be broke by the first of the year.If dede was sitting at the head table they would surely blame it on the repubs even though she is a dem.But seing how they got their man owens now the blame won't be misdirected. Proud yes very proud.

Yup, Dannie's right. All the mainstream media will do just that, as they all have their head in the same hole as Dannie does. Group think.

Scozaafaved and Palinized... what's next?

IV-eed?

Prosegrrl said...

Hey, IV...call me every derogatory name you can come up with if it makes you feel important....I'm still going to call you out on your B-S because as far as the issues go, Owens and Scozzafava weren't too far off from each other, but hey, if your ideology is more frothing at the mouth tea partier, I guess Hoffman was your guy.

Anyway, I have a sneaky suspicion that you North Country Republican good ole boys couldn't stomach sending a woman to Washington. You know....keeping her in her place so to speak. Why else would the smear campaign become so big with so little back up from the North Country Republicans. I don't recall many of you supporting her once your boy was on the scene.

City Watch said...

Peacepoet, with all due respect, you are wrong. I supported until the end. I was at her office the morning she resigned. Go back through some of my post here also.

Anonymous said...

UH, PP, not sure what your point is. I guess you're claiming many of us wouldn't have supported a woman so the way things went down is predictable in your view. OK. Whatever. You've decided Dede is the victim so probably there is nothing much anyone is going to say that will sway you. I got it. I like having you around. You're like a fluff of nice air.

I didn't vote for Hoffman for anti woman stuff, abortion stuff, save the river/moon/great plains stuff, any of that. I did it to try to shake up my government to spend less. Ya see, our Gov, who just the other day said we're gonna be broke in a month, is in my view telling the truth. This is true despite us being one of the highest taxed states in the nation and having the highest growth in government in the nation. That concerns me,PP. I think you should look at that a bit. We have to spend less. We can't have everything, free. But I do like you PP and hope you stay around.

Is that why us good ole North Country, Hoffman supporting boys also support Sarah Palin? Cause we don't want women representing us in Washington. What a bunch of BS.

Tong

Prosegrrl said...

No...you all support Palin because she cuts a nice figure in a power suit. It certainly isn't for her mind. Spare me.

Your comment was pety, but typical of liberals. How many states you been Governor of? I am a Sarah Palin fan because she represents everything good about America.

Hey PP now who's being sexist?

Prosegrrl said...

Just calling it as I see it. There are MANY other accomplished Republican women out there....more accomplished than Sarah Palin, but I don't see you all gushing over them.

Check this out:
http://www.r8ny.com/blog/gatemouth/partial_list_of_republican_women_more_qualified_to_be_president_than_sarah_palin.html

So why aren't you all extolling the genius of these women?

Anonymous said...

No doubt there are plenty of other conservative women candidates worth backing, and I will support them as well. But I see no reason to not support Sarah Palin just because a lib says don't do it. I'll dump Sarah when you dump O.

P.S. Is Dede on your list. She's not on mine.

I get a chuckle out of you guys that put down Sara Palin. It's perfectly clear you don't know her.See what you get from watching msnbc and cnn? One word sums you up,STUPID!
Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.

1 - Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you're thinking, I'll continue.

2 - Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES". Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3 - The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork". She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

Anonymous said...

4 - Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5 - For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6 - President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

Tong has you by your...whatever is politically correct to have you by, PP. I was just trying to be nice to ya. It isn't about women or abortion or any of that smoke screen stuff, at least not to me. It's about the money. We can't keep screwing people who are just trying to pay their bills and keep their families together. That's the difference between a Scozzawhater or a bidnisasusualpol, and a conservative. It's not hate or love or sexism or the moon, it's about the money. Someone has to pay the bills.

Prosegrrl said...

I see what you are saying 11:40, but where were all of you about over-spending when Dubya was running up our deficit? Where was the outrage then? I mean, clue me in here, Conservatives....it's OK to spend, spend, spend when it comes to blowing shit up, but not ok to spend on health care or helping people?

Anonymous said...

The constitution says the Pursuit of Happiness, not the guarantee of happiness. And how can you talk about spending when the big 0 has run up the biggest defecit in the history of this country.

Tong

PP is right about one thing. Bush was a weak president and a strong one in other ways. But he was weak on the spending front, as government has been out of control for some time now. The Great One has taken this disaster to a new level. But it doesn't change things. We have to address the spending issue.

That long post by another anonymice was great. See Dannie, lots of good points by folks who don't splay their ego by posting their name. Tong, carry on my man.

But Obama is TRYING to fix what was broken. That takes money. So many social programs took a hit when Bush was President. And not only is Obama spending money in Iraq to level that our, he has upped the Afghanistan mission because that was really where we were supposed to be focusing on all along. It doesn't come without costs.
Hell, I am by no means in a comfortable financial situation, but I don't fret about my tax dollars going to help the greater good.

My money going to new license plates though...that's another story. :)

Many of us where disgusted with bush by his second term. I agree he truly lost his way.But for the most part he left us alone. The patriot act was and is a bold step against our freedom. He assured us he was looking for jihadi terrorists,to this date I have no reason to doubt him.But obama is using it only against the people. He has shut down watching terrorists and has devoted all his resources to keeping tabs on tea partiers. He has even expanded the patriot act when campaigning to abolish it.This is change we can surely do without!

Anonymous said...

PP, you have to watch what you learned that just isn't so. No social programs took hits when Bush was president. It's fashionable to say that, but it is not the truth. He spent plenty. Which was one of the main reasons for that increase in the deficit you lamented in your earlier posts. Both sides buy votes with our money. We have to get smarter with this.
