Points Of Interest From Yesterday.

To the surprise of many, Barack Obama was not my first choice for President, but he is my President and hope he succeeds.

The United States broke another racial barrier yesterday and for that history was made, frankly with the thought all are created equal I seldom enter the racial debate, as Martin Luther King plead for all people to be judged not on the color of their skin, but on the content of their character. Anyone who utilizes the racial debate to belittle the moment of history yesterday are mistaken.

On the other hand, equally tasteless were the following parts of yesterday's events.

George W. Bush, like him or not, deserved respect on the way out the door and the boos and the undertone was classless. Yesterday was a day to check your partisan politics at the door and respect the transition of power this country holds so dearly.

Then there was Lowery.

Rev. Joseph Lowery did nothing yesterday, but simply fan the racial based flames. Comments like the one he made yesterday provide no progress to the issue of equality. Obama has stressed forward thinking, this comment was anything but forward thinking.
“Lord, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around… when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen.”
Is he reliving times gone by? Blacks being asked to get in the back, whites do not embrace what is right? Rev. Lowery maybe able to cite examples as exceptions to today's living, and more work needs to continue, but certainly it is not the the current way of life.

You do not even know who Rev. Joseph Lowery is, do you Polit. IV? He is an old man who went to the top of the mountain with Dr. King. He has been there, you have not. His was a reminder to us of those days. A reminder much needed after eight years of Bush.
Yes, he is living in the past but brought us a reminder to those who usually interject, .."I seldom enter the racial debate..."
Then, you said, "Rev. Lowery maybe able to cite examples as exceptions to today's living, and more work needs to continue, but certainly it is not the the current way of life."
Millions of persecuted people around the world would not agree with you about their current way of life that results from racism.

They got it good here. Welfare, cars, lots of babies and expensive sneakers. and those stamps. White don't get jobs because they have to be equal first.
You are right.

Wiley, will you please say something, anything that makes sense. Just once?

If this is what the guy said, how is that race baiting? You live in the past with your hatred of GWB and with your views towards racism.

Admit it. Things are much, much better. Does that scare you? Every once in a while you have to flush and leave the bathroom. Staying in there all the time can drive you nuts. Get out and live.

Wiley you need to get a life and a IQ.
You do not make sense, Your sounding like that gay activist blogger Blake Crotchbraum.

Race Baiting can be accomplished by implying that there is an underlying race based motive in the actions of others towards the group baited, where none in fact exists. The term "race" in this context can be construed very broadly to include the social constructs which define race or racial difference, as well as ethnic, religious, gender and economic differences. Thus the use of any language or actions perceived to be for the purpose of exploiting weaknesses in persons who can be identified as members of certain groups, or to reinforce a group's perceived victimhood, can be contained within the concept of "race baiting." Many people who practice race baiting often believe in racism or have an interest in making the group believe that racism is what motivates the actions of others.

Not to worry, PIV, I am out and living very well. Plus, where I am for a few days they only have squat toilets and it is very hot. I spend as little time in there as possible.

Now he's back to the little snippits of thought. Ittybitty postings that say little, on reinforce the fact that Mr Wiley sees everything from the "dogma" angle that the GREAT ONE warned us about in his speach. Some will never get over it.

In six minutes I will think of something and post again. Stand by.

Lefty Limerick's Last Post

Here ya go, PIV. I hope I made the 6 minute deadline. You put me under a lot of pressure.

It may be the beginning of a real problem. Perhaps he is not living the life he pretends to live, instead choosing to respond every few minutes to PIV. Strange stuff.

RW. Flush. Leave the room. Don't go near the computer, go after your lady instead. Give her a hug and thank her for her sacrifice.
