Here Is A Quote That Should Please You.

Chuck Schumer never ceases to amaze people.

A comment from Schumer appearing on Fox News Sunday.

Schumer said he was happy with Paterson's choice but added that Gillibrand's district "is quite different than much of the state. It's very rural. In some ways, it's more like Montana than New York City."

If that is true, I can't imagine what he thought the day he visited Cape Vincent and talked to them about how he could help with their plans to save the Horns' Ferry.

What in hell are you talking about, RW? I mean, I know what you are saying, but what does that have to do with anything? Please God, put a fence around this guy and keep the kids inside.

Considerable credit and blame has gone towards Schumer for Gillibrand's appointment. I don't understand the problem. The Dems have selected a great Senate candidate, someone many of us can support in years to come. And if Chuck had anything to do with it, as Michelle Obama once said, for the first time in my damn life I'm proud of the butthead. The donkeys make a reasonable choice, and the foolish fringe just can't stand it. Weird people.

Sen. Gillibrand (D) for President in 2016.

It has a nice ring to it.

Let me write it a different way in an attempt to help you understand better.

PIV's post was ONLY in reference to a Chuck Schumer quote:

"is quite different than much of the state. It's very rural. In some ways, it's more like Montana than New York City."

So I said, if Chuck Schumer thought that about the Senator's District, I can't imagine what he thought about us (we In Jefferson are even further removed) when he visited Cape Vincent.

All the other things you said about me personally as well as my post come from your wild and drunken imagination.

You are, indeed, one of the Republican's class acts, Anonymous.

PIV please read this all and think. a little moderation please. I have seen you rag on commenters in the past for not sticking to the point and the insults are the worse hear than any. You have even rejected some of my posts in the past and why not some of the others that post insults. It is a reflection of you or sometimes is it you. no name no trust. It is not safe to post here anymore. I suggest a closed comment blog for you and your most fiathful with names only. When people are called gay and says they are not safe around children then thats overboard and you should be ashamed of what you allow. I am suprised that people like rwiley, thrush, Stump and Mr. Dan and others with names are tough enough and calm enough to try to keep discussions going with you. Please target the message only, read more careful and leave the personal stuff out. Anonymous is not cute anymore.

I agree with the others. You must be on wacky tobacky any mouse #1. Medical purposes of course.

I am NOT gay. I am open-minded.
And Wiley, I don't drink, much.

I "spoil" things? That is the neatest thing I have ever heard. As Chris Matthews said, I have a tingle right down my leg.

Give up on the weirdo anon dude. He is a internet troll and don't feed trolls. Trolls love pee running down their pants andThey get off on that.

Lots of anger. I thought the only person we really, really hated was George Bush.

i think oswegodem is spot on -- if it's ok to just go calling someone "gay", then i'd hate to see what it takes to get a comment rejected. i don't think it's necessary to to switch to named-only comments, though. how about, instead... iv actually moderates them! and it's pretty awesome how there's been no apology, no admission of error, no nothing from iv. classy.

the weirdo troll gay bird is angry. His pants are wet with pee and no change.

It would be refreshing if we could return to the original point of the article. That our US Senator, Chuckles Schumer, called a North Hudson River District near Albany a rural area likened to Montana! I would like to know what Chuckles is doing in Montana and where does the true Northern New York region fit in his geographical opinion. I believe Chuckles has done an ok job as senator. However, he is a liberal democrat and in need of improvement. As for the other random comments on this post, I agree with Osewgo Dem that people should avoid personal slander and stick to the issues and article at hand. It is a cowardly act for someone to post something that is bitter and slanderous anonymously. It's ok to post something anonymously to protect one's identity if it is an issue that is sensitive and where you could get flack for it, but you still feel passionately about the issue. Above all use some common sense!

I quit coming here for a while, but the JefCoBlog has some juicy Republican leaks. Well said John Peck. I would not use the same language used. They are all correct about this anon who does prevent many good discussions. He is a thug and coward and usually has no idea what was said in the post he comments to. He just goes after the person who makes the comment. If PIV had any respect for others or his own work, he would not allow it.

I don't really see being compared to Montana as an insult. Have you guys ever been to Montana? Great place.

It is also unsaddled by NY's taxes, unions, special interests, illegal aliens, and polluted rivers and streams. Maybe we should encourage Chuckie to visit out there, and bring back some ideas for change we can believe in.

Montana Immigration Data

Montana Unions

Montana Taxes

The taxes, not to bad but other stuff is sky high. We got more god damned special interest that you can imagine trying to take over our parks, grab our land and pollute our sky
The unions at least protect our rights and we have unions for everything except the scab developers who are bringing in illlegals by the bus full. Walmart, too for cleaning.

It be a matter of perspective. Here in NY we win the award for the most dysfunctional government on the planet.

I liked Montana. Tell you what, I'll swap houses with you, sight unseen. No questions asked.

Newzjunky.com advertises a picnic in Florida in early Feb '09 for NYers who have fled the north country, unwilling to live in our taxed out, opportunity voided wasteland. I wonder if there are enough people who have left Montana to have parties in other states. Why does NY lead in lost population, and the flight of our youth? It must be all that great future opportunity we have provided them.

I'm just glad we do it "for the children".

Duh.

I checked the links to Montana that you provided. Their taxas are much lower, 48th, they don't have nearly the number of public employees, and they list app 5000 illegal aliens. We have that many at a Brooklyn bowling alley.

Where's the problem?

Its amusing to see Oswego Dem and Oswego River rat---likely connected with the Oswego Democrat comment free blog (rural pravda)
readers should be advised that Oswego Democrat Committee persons who pontificate on web values are quite frankly, hypocrites. They've had three blogs shut down for gross insults to journalists and republican office holders.

I chuckle at the reference to the annual picnic held in Zephyrhills, FL each February. But you may be shocked to know that it is not held for 'NYers', but rather for people from JEFFERSON County. There are enough attendees to fill the venue. That is indicative of the number of retirees that flee this area each winter.

The point is no other part of the country has as many people LEAVE as we do. Why is that? It's not just cold temps or the "white stuff".

7:45 Is this the truth? I thought OswegoDem was like a visiting pastor or something, and I was starting to feel guilty. But then again anybody who names him/herself after a political party is telling you something right there.
