Sheldon Silver was highly critical every time Pataki was out of the state during session, often rhetorically asking the press how he could govern while he was off to some other place.
Our accidental Governor, Dithering Dave is off on a junket to a high brow resort location of
Davos, Switzerland. New York is facing a $15 billion deficit and Paterson wants a $2 billion commitment to close this year's gap by February 1st, coincidentally he is gone until February 1st.
A Caribbean tour, then Washington and now Switzerland, when does Albany and the New York budget become a priority? Where is Silver and what does he have to say now?

You got some of that that right. Now, answer, "Where is Bruno, now?"

They don't care about NYS, you say? So, I guess the GOP in DC doesn't care about the nation, either?
I present another view (as usual with me from time-to-time) with this take now up and running at my other blog CLICK HERE
~ enjoy
Bruno is no longer an elected offical and is probably with Spitzer. That works both ways. Who is there now and why is he in gone during budget session is the question.
LMAO Patterson just canceled his trip.
it appears that paterson has canceled his trip.
I guess his staff read the complaint at IV, right?
Boo!!!
Wow, now it took Wiley a full minute to come up with the SAME thought. Times is tough.
I just hope our Gov keeps enough clout through all this Caaaroline stuff to fight for a budget. If Shelly is left unchecked, AS WELL as the Republicans, who have shown no trace of a backbone, we are dead and stinkin'. The legislature will continue to spend money we don't have and we will be royally screwed. I want the Gov to be strong. It looks like there is a systematic effort underway to tear him down, which leaves us with no defense whatsoever from our crooked downstate legislators.
No intent to defend Bruno, but I'll bet if you investigated the entire bunch, 75% would be in jail.
We need the Gov.
