Gingrich on Dede

Newt Gingrich was confronted during a book signing session on why he endorsed Dede Scozzafava, listen to how he responds.

Some of his cited reasons:
Endorsed by NRA.
Opposed to Obama healthcare
She is more likely to win.
She knows the local issues.
Hoffman said publicly he does not know the local issue.

Wow, someone actually paying attention before they endorse a candidate unlike others such as Palin who probably thinks she can see New York from Alaska.

After seeing that video, how can any one in their right mind vote for Hoffman?

I would ask - after seeing that video, how can anyone in their right mind vote for Dede?

No, let's be serious for a second. Newt offers balanced, well thought out resoning for his backing of Dede. We are going to hand this to Owens if we keep thinking as we have been. Not smart.

The video wouldn't come up. Did Newt also note that Dede was backed by ACORN and Working Families?

No as a matter of fact Newt did not mention it and that is because Billy-O is endorsed by the Working Families Party and Acorn.

You ought to hurry and get caught up on the campaign issues so you can be an informed voter.

Doug, have fun rubbing elbows with Glenn Beck in New York City! I wish I could be there! To watch you try to convince the rest of the country why you should represent a district you don't live in and know nothing about. By all means, stay right there with all of your neocon celebrity friends. Carpetbagger.

Vote Dede Scozzfava, a real representative of the 23rd Congressional District.

I started to watch Beck to see Hoffman, but I couldn't make it through. Who the hell watches this nut? Today he was on some rant about todays young adults being spoiled because as children they played on teams where no one loses, even if they do lose and so now they are all selfish and going to kill grandma for her health insurance. And this guy is backing Douglas Hoffman. If that isn't enough to make any thinking person run 180 degrees away from Hoffman, I don't know what will. A check on Google reveals that Beck has met most if not all of the NeoCon requirements, namely alcohol/drug addiction, multiple wives, and an ax to grind with the Catholic Church. (Seems so many of these nuts are disaffected Catholics for some reason). Why would a supposed good Catholic like Hoffman sully his image "palling" around with a Catholic traitor like Beck?

Oooo, Oooo, a "neocon" talker. You were doing fine, 6:04, until you started using some of the usual talking points. Bottom line, you were just setting up your knee jerk pre decided party line attack on Hoffman, Beck, and Dannie's dreaded FOOOOX NEEEEEWS.

Ahh don't worry about it. Lots of people go around twitching on command like you do. Didja git a letter telling you to try this or was it a lone-woof move?

News10Now did a piece about Owens and Hoffman ducking their debate. Assemblywoman Scozzafava was the only one who showed. So, while Hoffman was attending to voters of other districts and states on Glenn Beck's show, News10Now gave Assemblywoman Scozzafava a twenty minute interview. She's conservative enough for me and a true representative of the 23rd.

Hey yahoo 7:53: As a life long Republican I've got to say I agree with 6:04. What part of what was said is not true? His drug addictions or multiple wives? On a different note I see where Dave Martin has come out for DeDe. Remember him, or were you still in diapers when he was a congressman. Back when REAL Republicans represented us. If it weren't for guys like him and McHugh, we'de have no Ft. Drum today, but that would not matter to Hoffman. He never lived here, so he doesn't understand, or even care for that matter.

7:53 and for all others like him/her that attack fellow posters here at Ivy's trough of enlightenment:

* When someone like me reports or points out certain facts from various sources (and not just one source) which happens to reflect poorly on "your current or past leader in the White House or Senate or House or in Albany (i.e., Bush-Cheney, Senator so and so, or Rep. so and so, et al) and it also happens to contradict just about everything you are eager to believe about them as reported from one source (e.g., FOX or Limbaugh or Hannity or on that narrow side), then me or others like me must, in your eyes, be discredited, impugned and declared to be the enemy.

That way, the unpleasant facts we present can be dismissed away by attacking those who point them out, and thus the fantasies or antics of the leader can be blissfully maintained.

Doesn't any of this sound vaguely familiar to you?

Ya right don't we have enough crooks in office already??? or you dems need just one more to finish us off.

The voters should see this video - NEWS 10 did a great job and so did she.

News 10 Gave Dede 20 minutes when Owens and Hoffman pulled a no show

Picked this up over night, too.

GOP and Dede Ask Hoffman to Quit

Payback's a bitch, ain't it, Doug? LOL

Newt shows Dede for the RINO she really is. She has no business being the Republican candidate. She tried twice to change parties but I guess even the Democrats didn't want her. Her political goose is cooked.

But hoffman is a bad bad man.Did you know he has a car collection and a house with water out front. He needs to be flogged!

you mean the same Newt who abandonded his sick wife to have sex with his secretary while he was trying to impeach Clinton? That Newt? The one who shut down the government? you repidiots sure have some sleazy heroes.....

I would expect anyone who laments neocons and Fox News to bring out our little man Dannie in knee jerk defense. I didn't realize the Beckster was divorced. Boy, that really changes things, 8:49. I see now I have to add to my list of stuff to be deathly afraid of.

Dan Francis and his Ego
Fox News
Neocons
Divorce
Lifelong Republicans AND Democrats

Anonymous said...

One other thing, 8:49. You identify yourself as a lifelong Republican. Yeah right. And Dannie believes in freedom of the press too. But just for the sake of discussion. Would you please, for me, when you sittin' around chattin' with McHugh, ask him how he voted for that Tax and Trade or Cap n Trade thing he did on his way out? As a lifelong Republican maybe you can put it into words we can all understand.

If any of you actually checked out the News 10 piece you would hear them clearly say that Owens was never supposed to be at their little 'debate.' The Clinton Co. Chamber of commerce has hosted 3 breakfast forums - one for each candidate, and Owens' turn was yesterday. No way to get from there to News10now in time without a plane. that's the truth of the matter.

Anonymous said...

So you're claiming that Newt is like that ambulance chasin scam lawyer that was doin' the bimbo blonde (while Dannie's balanced media ignored it) that you guys wanted to put in the White House? What was that asshole's name, you know, the guy who was grabbin' breasts while his wife had breast cancer. I can't think of his name. Edward something. Something Edwards. Is that the guy you party line thinkers are talking about? Yeah, I thinks it was John or Dannie Edwards or something like that. Yup, that does sound familiar to me.

Well 6:05 I guess no one is perfect. Not how I would have voted, but it still does not take away from Mr. Mc Hugh's illustrious career. The best I can ask for is one mulligan for him. However this does not take away from the reprehensible hypocritical lives of your heroes. Rush/Beck et al are all serial philanderers, drug addicts, and all in all not what family values are all about. Please address this phoniness on their part

Nope, I'm the crazy one but I didn't label Maddow a dyke. I have no knowledge or concern about her sexual preferences. But I like that "pee on my leg" Matthews thing. Very appropriate. I think he called in a tingle that he gets when the Great One talks. Just the kind of thing you'd expect to hear from a journalist, eh Dannie? Tinkle, tingle, ahh, Dan can explain it. As far as Rush being a drug addict, if you read the complete story of that situation, it isn't really a fair description of the matter, but I don't expect fairness is part of your plan, is it?

Go Yankees. Hope it don't rain.

Anonymous said...

Regarding Rush's addiction to pain pills why is it not accurate to call him a drug addict. Do you know the full story, and if so, please enlighten us. I seem to remember him getting ARRESTED for the illegal possesion of a rather large amount of these controlled substances at a Florida airport. Not very conservative of him. But I'm sure he had a good reason. After all he is perfect right?

Anonymous said...

Not sure where you're going with this, 8:36. Like the Fox News thing, many see some of these talk radio folk as a threatening thing. I'm sorry you're so afraid. Talk to Dannie. He's afraid of a lot of that stuff too. Git yourself one of those Fox News night lights.

I hope I don't get to a point where my primary motivation is fear. None of these people really bother me, on either side.

Anonymous said...

8:36 PM After all he is perfect right?

Not perfect but close! Just be patient the joker is working on legalizing drugs. Then Mr.Rush will be perfect.

Anonymous said...

I'm not afraid of Rush, just calling out a hypocrite when I see one. Don't we have enough of the do what I say, not what i do leaders. It would be refreshing to see someone who actually lives the life they espouse. I agree he can be very entertaining, but you really shouldn't take what he says as gospel, no more than you would a Bill Maher or Dennis Miller. Just saying.

I see what you mean, but I don't view Limbaugh as a leader of much of anything. Any more than I view a Michael Moore to be a leader of much of anything.

What we need are pols who can say no to something, anything. Then have the backbone to come out and tell the voters why it is not in their interests to spend more money they do not have. All we get is the spending side of it. It has to stop sometime.
