Say You

Less than one week before the Obama was awarded NPP, Gore Vidal (cousin to Al Gore) famous and often described as America's greatest essayist and best selling novelist who is known for his curmudgeon style had this to say about Obama.

"I was like everyone else when Obama was elected – optimistic. Everything we had been saying about racial integration was vindicated," he says, "but he's incompetent. He will be defeated for re-election. It's a pity because he's the first intellectual president we've had in many years, but he can't hack it. He's not up to it. He's overwhelmed.

He regrets changing his support from Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama.

Read more here.

It is a fascinating article, but conservatives beware, this guy and article is anything but one.

Oh stop it, PIV. The Great One strikes agin', and you're just jealous. The man is wonderful. He's, well, he's meant to do a lot. The jobless rate has, well, it will go down soon, I'm sure. Our economy has uh welll it's still there. We're spending a lot and terrorists everywhere are happier than they were under that last guy. I knows we're gonna get free DRs someday soon. And today was cold, so there's evidenc right there that the Great One has already turned around that earthwide warming up thing. I just love the man. Like that newzman, I get a tingle up my cavity every time he speaks a sermon. There is no telling what this guy will be thinking about during the coming months. He probably hopes to do lots of stuff, making whole bunches of people happy. I say, give him next year's NPP too.

FYI: There is no Vidal Gore -- his name is Gore Vital... please making a post like this is pretty low... and totally uncalled for .... cousine of Al Gore... what a leap... facts matter, don't they?

FACTS: Vidal was born Eugene Luther Gore Vidal, October 3, 1925
Besides his politician grandfather, Vidal has other connections with the Democratic Party: his mother, Nina, married Hugh D. Auchincloss, Jr., who later was stepfather of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Gore Vidal is a fifth cousin of Jimmy Carter.

Vidal claims to be a distant cousin of Al Gore, but this claim is unverified.

Today's news:

US TROOPS DRIVEN OUT OF THEIR AFGHAN BASE

GI'S ON THEIR OWN
OBAMA DECISION NOT EXPECTED SOON

And today, the Great One wins the Nobel Peace Prize. What a proud day it is.

It is actual Gore Vidal not Vidal Gore an it is Vidal not Vital.

I knew that it was just a typo and thank you for pointing it out.

It is a good attempt to get off the topic, which is how in hell this guy won the NPP. Arguing about how to spell someone's name is lame way to avoid the discussion. But if I were Dannie, that's what I would do too. It's a little humiliating to confront the issue. What, no Marine logo prop?

Marine "logo" as you call it (is neither a prop nor a logo). It is an emblem that I wore for over 30 years (20 years active duty and 10 in the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve)...

Please do your homework more thorough -- your grades in class are suffering.

What is the logo for jar heads?

I went to public schools, Dan. One doesn't have to work that hard to get good grades. Just don't cause trouble. I'm not a toublemaker, am I?

One other thing, Dan, You tell me to do my homework "more thorough".

It's do your homework more thorougLY.

That's an adverb. Ends in LY.
You know all about that LYing Dannie.
