Bridge To Nowhere Vote

While Sarah Palin may have supported the bridge to nowhere before she opposed it, Barack Obama supported and voted for it.

And voted for it over giving the money to New Orleans to rebuild bridges from Hurricane Katrina.

The Democrats appear ready to take a bath on the bridge issue.

If Obama does not support the bridge to nowhere now, than he is in the same position as Palin and if does support, well then he supports something people see as wasteful government spending.

Can Obama say quagmire?

Don't you think Palin was a little closer to the Bridge to Nowhere situation than Obama? She is a hack. And she still took the money (300 million) and spent it on other projects in her state. I can't believe the American people can be so stupid. Really, we have to get past this "one of us" crap. I didn't care for it with Aubertine, and I don't like it now. Because she hunts, fishes, and has promiscuous kids does that make her qualified to be a heartbeat away from POTUS. You get what you deserve.

nice try, iv, but you're completely missing the point. each day on the stump, palin and mccain are making bald-faced, unambiguous lies about her record on the bridge and on earmarks in general. and these are not idle side comments; mccain has chosen to make reform in general, and earmark reform in particular, a central issue in his campaign, and the two of them are just lying their rear ends off about it!

in my opinion, obama unquestionably voted the wrong way on the earmarks bill you referenced, but at least he's been truthful about it. the problem is not the bridge, but the lying.
