NY State Deaf On NNY Property Taxes

The State Commission on Property Tax Relief announced yesterday they are preparing to hold six hearings on the subject of high property taxes.

New York State is deaf to Northern New York's interests and concerns on property taxes, there is not a single hearing to be held in Northern New York. The closest place for the people of Northern New York to travel to have their voices heard is Syracuse.

The state has a habit of conducting hearings on various issues and remaining deaf to Northern New York's concerns. The Governor and commission chair Tom Suozzi are both from the same political stripes as Senator Aubertine. He should use that influence to insist that our voices are heard and request that a hearing be held here. He often claims to be fighting for us, and it sure will be mentioned in his upcoming campaign, so then demonstrate it.
