Not surprisingly DD and P IV do not agree on the subject of one of his post. That water in LaFargeville must be getting tainted or something, it is effecting DD's sense of good and bad. His wife might have to keep track of him when he leaves the house from now on to ensure his safe return.

The agreement comes on how it will rattle NYS politics if Sheldon Silver loses tomorrow in his primary, but it ends there.
"Some of the shortsighted locals think Shelly is a really bad guy."
He is!
"He is very sensitive to all his caucus."
That is bull...t
DD is not off his rocker yet, (close) although, he is asleep at the keyboard. It would be the best thing for New York State residents if Sheldon Silver loses tomorrow.

For the record - NY Times, NY Post and Daily News all endorsed Silver's opponent and a fourth paper, The NY Sun, only endorsed Silver because he was considered the lesser of two evils.

Ted Ford is a joke if he thinks that Sheldon Silver is representing anyone but himself. Ask Bragmann how Silver worked for him.
Ted has to support Silver, because Aubertine did. Now Ted will be a big fan on the guy who Darrel might support, because he has to.
Remember, Ted has labeled people Democrats that have a Cantwell sign as defectors. Just imagine what he will call Democrats that don't support Silver.
Hello IV,
I woke up from my nap long enough to remember a couple of things.
The Speaker worked with Darrel to get housing money for Fort Drum. He also helped expand farmer's access to health care through Family Health Plus. He even made sure to mention extension of the low cost power contract for ALCOA at every public leader's meeting to keep it a top priority in the state. And even going back to the ice storm I remember that Silver went way out of his way to be the first state leader to endorse immediate aid to the northcountry.
Now I'll go back for a snooze.
Oh, and just a note to the above poster the signs said 'Democrats for Cantwell'. I didn't label em they did.
It's you're wrong not your wrong

Look around NYS today and what do we see: Very few primary elections (Sep 9, 2008) - why?
Primaries serve a good purpose, as well as not so good purpose, but mostly good.
Issues should matter as well as differences and choice for the voters, then they can see the consequences of change or not changing.
Primaries introduce the public to "unknown or relatively unknown" candidates (choice).
Name recognition is the name of the game, as well as tons of money and pretty good press (especially up here where we cling to personalities rather than policy except when our guy or gal gets elected to the minority and then policy is the #1 concern for us) ... (differences).
In the end, primaries are helpful; they can be expensive, but elections are mostly money-driven anyway even without a primary.
* Not having them this cycle does not offer choice, differences or any measure of the consequences (of change, or no change) ...
In my view.
Seems like Silver got about 68% of the vote - close, right Ted?
