EL DIARIO / LA PRENSA is reporting that one of the Gang of Three is promoting himself for Majority Leader of the New York State Senate. This sort of crap is precisely what turns people off.

Or it may turn on other side into action for more power themselves.

Rather than balance and action that they promised while running and then serving the public according to their oath of office and not to any person, party, or set of old ideas and sound bytes whose only purpose is to keep a bunch of incumbents in office at any cost - and believe me, it costs plenty, they must roll up their sleeves and get to work for the public.

"Work for the Public"????
Ahh Dan, sometimes your idealism just makes me wanna puke. You really do believe people are basically good, dotcha?

Well, they ain't. Not here in the Empire State. Here, they are basically donkeys or elephants.

There is no good or evil.
The politicians are bought and paid for.

But, yes: I am "an idealist and a rational one at that" - why aren't you.

And, yes, I "really do believe people are basically good, dotcha," don't you?

Be gone with you.
