NYS Senate Job Creation Plan

The Senate Republicans unvieiled a job creation plan for New York, here are the highlights.

  • Cut taxes on small businesses in half and eliminate business taxes for small manufacturers;
  • Create new tax credits tied to job creation and job training by manufacturers;
  • Make reforms to the Empire Zone program to increase accountability to ensure that companies receiving benefits create high-paying jobs;
  • Help small businesses obtain loans to grow;
  • Reduce health insurance costs for small businesses;
  • Expand tax credits for investments by emerging technology businesses;
  • Provide low cost student loans and create a tax credit program for students who go to college in New York and stay in New York;
  • Eliminate state regulations, red tape and paperwork; and
  • Give local governments greater authority to provide tax breaks for community and neighborhood revitalization projects;

Notice what's missing? Spending cuts.

This is why the GOP lost the Senate. They still don't get it.

Spending matters not, Jacob, when "you're helping small business and manufacturers, et al..." (tongue in cheek)...

Albany knows we can spend our way out of any debt hole, or at leat they hope that their tax breaks and tax cuts and tax exemption [ploys], etc. produce enough revenue to offset wild-ass spending ... that they mostly need to stay in office, actually work.

But, wait, with all the tax cuts / breaks / exemptions, etc., how can Albany raise enough money to "fix or provide things" that the public pays for with their hard earned tax dollars, which seldom are cut, exempted, or given breaks for?

Damn, back to the drawing board.

A carefully constructed government program designed to protect small business and individuals from the negative effects of carefully constructed government programs?

Gee, how smart is that?

I guess if it is TARGETED and MONITORED correctly it would be ok. NO rich guys should benefit.

Why didn't we think of it earlier?

Sounds like an Empire Zone.

You be on de money, Danny.

And Jacob. Perfect. Make sure you avoid spending cuts. Exactly.

Although both sides are spending addicts.

Dan, History shows when you cut taxes and red tape government revenue increases. JFK knew that, why can't democrats of today realize that.

However, both sides in Albany have to agree to cut spending to make government work. Our founding fathers did not expect govt. to fix everything

It's tough to reduce spending when your precious UNIONS refuse to even help.

Watch how NYSUT ramps up their hate ads when it is even whispered that their sweet deal is in danger.

Yes, those 'nasty' unions -- so how come they support McHug so much, so often with so much?

LOL

Your post makes zero sense.
