Priceless! And he's reading the entire script -- and still can't get it right!

Anonymous said...

um...ah..where did he learn to speak or read????

Anonymous said...

He is such an articulate sole.

Embarrassing!!

You are getting these right from the Senate Republican Media Office aren't you?

Tank you, tanks alott, err.... a lot!

Lets pick on the guy who stumbles every once in a while giving speeches. I have seen him speak many times but the only speeches you post are the ones when he makes mistakes. "Congratulations" IV, on being so pathetic.

Still speaks better than our current republican king Bush.

IV throwing stones from his laptop. I would like to see how smooth you would be speaking in the senate chambers. You are incredibly gutless.

Anonymous said...

I'll bet IV could do a better job speaking publicly -- even without Darrel's written remarks!

Anonymous said...

That's why you need to finish high school kids!

i would say that this is kind of low brow. However it is such an example of what you get with this guy i'm gonna allow it.

Interesting. Many comments on this one defending Darrel. Leads me to believe those making the comments know IV is correct and I'm going to agree.
When Darrel was an assemblyman and under the guidance and thumb of Silver, he couldn't read the speeches clearly written for him. I too have seen and heard him speak many, many times.
Whether he's reading or trying to get it from the heart, he does a lousy job, nice guy or not. I have also had opportunity to catch him in the assembly and senate chambers. The man cannot speak worth a darn. I'm not sure if he's afraid or just doesn't understand the subject he's speaking about. For godsakes people, when is his light going to come on? Yup, I was a north country fool to vote for him too. Not this time around though.

Keep attacking Darrel the dumb farmer IV. It worked so well for Ritchie, your alter ego, and Prince Will.

First off, what's the point here? Darrel's dumb? He's not. Nice resurrection anonymous 2:44 of the UNTRUE rumor that this farmer never graduated. Oh, but this site loves UNTRUE rumors.

Second, Danny, you're not a gem at the podium, let me tell you. I've seen your incoherent rants. Maybe Steve Weed has a recent one from city council or a county meeting.

Third, IV, whomever you may be, if you are in fact who everyone says, you are not a fabulous speaker yourself.

Fourth, to you who said "articulate sole"...what's embarassing is that you criticized Darrel, but you used the wrong word in a typed message you could have reviewed and didn't have to type in front of your colleagues.

I can see why nothing of any substance gets done on State Government after this video.

Anonymous said...

This is what you waste your time on? Someone misspeaking. Wow.

I watched the whole clip. He did not do too badly. He's no Adlai Stevenson. I think he referred to a few scribbled notes.

I have addressed a few assemblies of hundreds of my colleagues. IT AIN'T EASY! Maybe those who think it is, should get up infront of a couple hunnerd and give it a GO!

Or, hell, just stand in front of a TV camera (its just a cameraperson there) and try your best. I bet you'll wet yourself.

Be one of the North Country's Finest.

Speaking at City Council on before the county legislatures is tough - they normally restrict your time and don't give time for rebuttal after one of the elected lights into the public speaker...

Weed may have some of my rants - but I don't stumble when I speak, I am very coherent and if I say so myself, a damn good speaker within the confines of the arena ...

Invite me sometime to speak publicly and see for yourself.

Or let's debate say about detainee handling, torture, military tactics in war, politics, the Constitution (one of my fav topics), or what's wrong with the public so much that our government feels is it powerless unless they abuse us to the umpteenth degree?

Give me a call.

Hey, this is a Blog - a center for the exhange of ideas, sometimes we're funny, sometimes not, but most of us try. But, we're always serious about the political topics (warts and quirks included) ... taking on those in office or running for office (or running from office) is the best part.

It may not always be pretty; but neither is making sausage.

he didn't graduate from high school. i wish it weren't true. This guy is a fraud with a capital F. 10th grade school photo is not a degree. loving the mud slinging going on here.let me grab another heap.

How can we ever expect Aubertine to be effective when he can't even deliver something as simple as a congratulations? If you look at the whole speech, its just sad.

One last thing. All IV did was post a youtube clip. Not unlike DD does. IV did not write one negative comment~

After 5 years in the Assembly you would expect Aubertine to be a better speaker. Must be he didn't get any practice there.

Anonymous said...

The better question, who on the Senate pay roll is trolling through hours of tape archives -- which are not available online -- to find snippits of Darrel. And then, sending it to their patsie, Political IV.

Anonymous said...

Say what you want about the way Aubertine speaks, but HE is a State Senator. Most of you are sitting at your little 8x8 cubicles claiming on this blog how dumb Darrel is. The rest of you are clipping flowers at your Daddys store.

Anonymous said...

Yes he is the Senator making far less than a lot of people and contributing to the most dysfunctional government in the land.

Anonymous said...

How do you think he will do when he has to speak (hopefully in court) about his wind turbine contract while sitting on the NYS Assembly Energy committee and voting for tax incentives for wind turbine companies?

Anonymous said...

OH MY GOD HE MISPOKE!!!! WHAT AN UNQUALIFIED RETARD!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Not only did then assemblyman Aubertine vote for tax incentives while sitting on the NYS Assembly Energy committee Mr. Aubertine also sat on the Standing Committee on Agriculture he voted for the bill “Wind Energy” in Agricultural Assessments This bill exempts farmers from paying a penalty when they convert agricultural land from agricultural use to electric generation using wind. Not only did Mr. Aubertine sign the bill but the bill in question originated from the Standing Committee on Agriculture and is listed as one of the accomplishments of the committee for 2003. This seems like more than a small conflict to me.

When do you think the WDT will get around to investigating Darrel's conflicts on wind? Syracuse Post Standard at least has begun the process.

Keep 'em coming IV, we need to get this laughing stock out of the Senate and back to his wind farm
