Abortion: An Issue In 56th SD

The abortion issue has become a front and center issue in the Senate race for the 56th district seat. NARAL Pro-Choice NY and the Democrats are teaming up on their theme and piling it on the Republican candidate Joe Robach.

NARAL was a big supporter and player in the 7th District special election that helped Darrel Aubertine's moral caucus partner Craig Johnson win that seat.

NARAL has contributed $11,000.00 to Democratic candidates according to the 32 day pre-general filing. See it here

Darrel, is there something you are not discussing with us about your Democratic conference's social motives, are you hiding their agenda?

There is a military family down the street. He has been to Afghanistan 3 times. Her sister has done two tours in Iraq. They have an Obama and an Aubertine sign in their yard.

Since David and Darrel are Catholics and have the same views on life, where are you going with this one, PIV? Are you going to try to prove one is more Catholic than the other? Did Darrel miss mass? Have you been speaking to god?

Dede supports gay marriage. Does that mean Renzi must support gay marriage? Seriously, your logic is utterly ridiculous in 90% of these posts.

I see nothing wrong with that ad. Unless they are misconstruing his record, what could be wrong with it?

Abortion is a huge issue to some women. If you were a woman, would you like someone telling you what you could do with your body?

How would you feel if you (or your wife or your sister) were in a life and death situation and if you did not abort you would die too.

Are we to sit idly by while two lives are lost all because it is God's will, when we could at least save one?

How is that not humane? How is that not compassionate?

I have voted for Darrel in his Assembly and Senate runs and I am pro-choice. That's pro-choice, not pro-abortion, folks. And while I disagree with him on this issue, I know him to be a thoughtful and caring person who has done a good job for us. I will say though that if DeDe had run for Senate, she would have gotten my vote.
