Renzi Has A Good Proposal

Stumbled across this good proposal while reading the Oswego County newspapers this morning. Perhaps it was a miss if it was printed locally, but this is a great idea by Renzi.

"Golden Parachutes Tax" proposed by Senate candidate Dave Renzi.

The article was in the Pall Times (see it here) where Renzi talks of the state living within the means of the taxpayers of New York and protecting our fair share during the decline in revenue and spending.

Renzi responds to the Wall Street crisis with a good idea that shows creative thinking. If you are mad at Wall Street for your losses you will like this proposal.

Lift from the article:
The second part of the plan would create a golden parachute tax where New York would impose a high level of taxation on payouts and bonuses. Renzi also wants executives to be held accountable for reporting their earnings and creating a law to make them give back bonuses and extra compensation when they put taxpayers’ investments at risk.

I see where the West Genesee school superintendent received a $39,000 raise 11 days before he retired. That AG doesn't like it but can't do much about it. That will really ad some fun (ie: dollars) to what we pay for his retirement. But I'm sure it was for the children. You sure won't hear about that on DD.

This from the same guy who tried to create his own parachute with his retirement scam?

Of course, the State doesn't tax NYS retirement.

That is good. Because as I keyboard, George Bush is announcing that he will meet with world leaders including Socialists from Europe to set up plans for international Government programs to regulate business and to design new Social programs that will protect rich corporations.

If David Renzi goes to Albany, I bet you a dollar to a Krispy Kreme that he will drop that one like a hot donut hole.

hey wiley,
your boy aubertine is an embarrassing idiot. I bet he has no idea what a golden parachute is even though he received one in the family 300 acre farm, and pure corrupt gold in the name of voting where your personal interests lie. He should resign immediately over this windmill corruption issue alone. This proposal is actually an interesting idea even though we all know it won't go anywhere until this ceases to be America. Aubertine in any position of authority is beyond his skill set. Go away sir. Give your job to the nearest intelligent democrat and drive to the cape and let us go. If you win it is a failure and the voters were hoodwinked because they feel they have to vote for any democrat due to the failures of george bush. I am a lifelong democrat and his administrative skills are a pathetic joke on us and that is what this job is about.

Did the state tax the illegal payments to your wife, wileyboy?

A Krispy Kreme, rw? Methinks you've had enough sugar already...

If Renzi does not pat him self on the back you will! As far as 9:04 you are also correct. Again neither canidate is a valid choice and the real loser is the people. WE have Renzi who says he will change Albany, and Aubertine who' has done nothing! Both are full of crap up to the ear.

As mentioned before this blog is independent without any affiliation to any campaign or government body, just like Danger Democrat.

If the commenter would like to resubmit the comment without any reference to a government body as author it will be gladly posted.

"any campaign or government body, just like Danger Democrat."

You are full of doodoo. Mr Ford is a Democrat, he supports the Dems in campaign. He has no pretense of being "independent". We know who he is and he often questions his own for the good of our local party. .
I know Ted Ford, and you are no Ted Ford.

You claim to be unknown. But independent. Nope.

OK children. If a political blog operates under the pretense of awareness of community problems but yet is not willing to say who they are, then beware. You are never sure of what else they will do. Basic internet safety.

I'm more of a libertarian, free-market kind of guy, but ina crisis, when markets don't work, there is a rol for government intervention.

I don't know if investor insurance is the way to go, but I bet there was a lot of concfern about that when FDIC was created -- and it went a ong way toward stabilizing markets without costing taxpayers a dime.

As for the "parachute tax," I think it's great that someone is willing to stand up to the unconscionable salaries and bonuses paid to greedy executives of failed companies.

Way to go, Dave Renzi.
