Governor Paterson Announces His (Re)Election Bid

Governor Paterson has announced his (re)election bid for Governor in 2010.

Here is his new website, click here  Paterson for NY.

“When I took office less than a year ago, I promised a candid, open and accountable administration, which in my mind requires nothing less than a frank and ongoing conversation with the people of New York,” said Governor Paterson.

There is little doubt in anyone's mind that Governor Paterson has followed through and been candid about the fiscal situation facing New York. Andrew Cuomo would be a bit foolish to primary him.

It is kind of odd time to announce his effort and sort of an out of the ordinary way also, but we've come to expect the unexpected from this Governor. He has been refreshing thus far in his career as Governor, he deals in reality. He is playing a high stakes game of risk and reward, while the announcement was expected, this will bring close scrutiny to his every move as he guides New York through rough fiscal waters.

Yes! And my biggest fear was the new Gov's association with Mr. Bruno.

But, it appears that Mr. Patterson has left Joe and his legacy behind.

Bring on Rudy, Mr. Family Values, Giuliani.

Wiley, your biggest fear was his association with Bruno? Huh? Very strange thought patterns here. And Giuliani? In the spirit of your discussion I wish to blame Jerry Brown. What you are talking about I have no idea.

Sitting down with everybody is what just might make him the most effective Gov we've had in awhile. It's Silver who won't talk sense. What is it, Silver tells us to sit tight, "we don't know how bad things are yet". Not good.
