Aubertine Goes Negative

An unusual move for a campaign that boasted about a big lead, it is unusual they would go to the extremes of negative advertising. Can anyone make sense of this move? What do you say Danger D, the manual to the right does not explain the move? You usually run right off the cliff claiming the sky is falling, the sun has set and a campaign is over when it goes negative, what say you now? How about the poll you had on your site about Renzi going negative, do you have one today asking if Darrel is still one of us?

Visit Danger Democrat here early and often he is sure not happy and will weigh in on this political heresy of the Aubertine campaign sometime soon.

Aubertine ain't no Mr. Clean any longer, he has shown his true political colors from January to now.

Consider it a public service announcement. How could it be negative if it is indeed, fact.

Aubertine's been polling of late. I guess we can all figure out how the numbers are coming back! "One of us" has reverted to his old form -- mounting a fiercely negative and personal campaign, and pretending he's above the fray.

What is good for the elephant is good for the donkey. Otherwise it would be hypocrisy.

Rwiley I wish you had the same feeling about Daves ads that refer to Darrels voting record, and hiring of his sister. Those are fact also but you seem to have a double standard and calling Dave negative.
I recieved a push polling call the other day from T.o.o. Enterprise, and by the tone and comments I know it was from Darrel's camp. Negative and push polling numbers must be close.
No one seems to remeber that te big money, negative campaign started with the Darrel vs Bob Nortz year fueled by the downstate Dems. They attacked Bob bad and really helped him get re elected by attacking him.

I ignore the negative and look past that. I am sure we all have things we regret but giving your sister a job doesn't compare with cheating the NYS retirement system for your own gain in my mind. Why doesn't Renzi mention his previous work as County DA and other past jobs??? Once has to wonder????

lets talk windmill voting in albany to line your own pockets and other family members in town i guess thats not robbing the taxpayers either !!

Windmill development was made possible in the early days of the George Bush administration when huge subsidies were granted. Unfortunately, these subsidies were granted to foreign energy companies which are building them using foreign parts.

Windmills in this area are seen as a hope by Democrat and Republican landowner's alike. Perhaps Dave Renzi and his campaign will put a stop to further development and the hopes of many.

What is fair for one is fair for the other. Sure I'd like to see both candidates focus on issues but don't make light of one over the other when both can take shots in the same direction. At least Barcly called for a truce, how quickly we forget. It seems to me that many of you live by the saying do as I say not as I do!!! Shame on all of you. How many of you will step of way from your computer and call them to say I don't like it! I bet none of you because you enjoy being negative naysayers.

Rwiley, The issue is not windmill development in Cape Vincent. Its Aubertines conflict of interest. voting on stuff and NOW refusing to divulge the contents of his agreements!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the most casual observer would think that there is something being hidden!!

How many other relatives does Darrel have on the payroll? Looks like lots of Aubertines and Wileys with fat state paychecks.

Windmill development is slated for Lyme, Cape Vincent, Clayton, Henderson. Windmill companies also have shown interest to the Northwest into St. Lawrence and to the west into Oswego.

Windmill developers approach the landowners well before they approach municipalities and make landowners sign confidentiality agreements.

Even the Port of Ogdensburg is reaping financial rewards from the development on Wolfe Island.

Many politicians and their families are or will be involved. Landowners or extended families, both Republican and Democrat are serving on village boards, planning boards, county boards, etc.

Would opposition to windmills be a hot topic for David Renzi to take on? Yes.

How many other relatives does Dave Renzi have scamming the state pension system? Looks like lots of Renzis with fat illegal state pensions.

Wow, IV your partisan hypocrisy has no limits. Remember if it is true, its not negative. Aubertine is just trying to outline the differences between him and Mr Renzi. Maybe if Dave would have stuck with real issues instead if mudslinging we wouldnt be at this point.
Partisan hacks like yourself are truly the biggest problem and obstacle this state and country face.
